Aristopet Stop Pick Spray For Caged Birds.

Extremely bitter-tasting spray to aid in the prevention of undesirable feather-picking habits in caged birds. 

Active Constituent: 100mg/L Denatonium Benzoate.

Stop Pick contains Denatonium Benzoate, an intensely bitter-tasting substance to aid in the treatment of feather picking in parrots and other cage and aviary birds. Feather picking is characterised by the loss or damage of feathers on the body and neck with normal feathers on the head. Feather picking can be the result of many underlying causes, including nutritional deficiencies, parasites (such as mites and lice), bacterial, fungal, or viral infections, as well as psychogenic problems like boredom, stress, or sexual frustration. The underlying causes must be addressed to eliminate the problem. For example, remove environmental stress, and in the case of boredom, provide the bird with toys and entertainment when it is alone (such as a radio or television). If problems persist, consult an avian veterinarian.

Directions for use: 

Remove or cover the seed and water before use. Hold the spray 15 to 20 cm away from the area to be treated and spray lightly, avoiding direct contact with the bird's eyes and face. Keep birds warm and out of draughts until feathers are dry. Repeat application daily or as required.

Precaution: Avoid contact with foodstuffs, and wash your hands after use.
