1. Insert wick inside trap under lid (see directions below).
2, Hang complete trap in tree at least 1m above ground level.

The Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) is a wasp-like, red brown fly with yellow markings. Adult flies are about 5 to 8mm in length and cause fruit damage in orchards and home gardens throughout Australia.

Male fruit fly will be attracted from up to 500 metres away. To determine the source direction of male fruit flies hang traps around perimeter of orchard or area to be monitored. To SECURE LID determine the efficacy of the control program, place 1 to 2 FOR WICK

traps in the centre ofthe orchard, REPLACE They cause damage after mating by laying their eggs below the surface of the fruit and the larvae hatch then burrow into the fruit. They are most active during the warm humid months from September to April, although in some regions they are active all year round.

NOTE: If water ingress occurs, remove lid and empty any water trapped. If wick is wet, replace with a new wick.
