Manutec Sphagnum Moss is used for retaining moisture in pots and hanging baskets, decorating pots and lining wire baskets etc.
It is an ideal material for:
- Surface mulching of pots and planter boxes. Retains moisture and minimizes moisture loss due to evaporation. Also gives a high decorative effect.
- Lining wire baskets. Holds content and retains moisture.
- Stags, horn ferns, when growing as mobiles or hanging on a wall. The plant is removed from its pot and the roots are wrapped in sphagnum moss before the complete bundle is firmly secured to its support: plastic-covered wire is useful for this purpose. The plant can then be soaked thoroughly in a bucket of water and allowed to drain before it is put in position. Subsequent watering should follow the same lines. Avoid excessive drying out.
