How Lime Sulphur Works

It works as a valuable dormant season spray to reduce the carryover burden of mites and fungal populations. By inhibiting the growth of fungal spores and mycelium, lime sulphur insecticide / fungicide helps protect plants from infection and reduces the spread of diseases. Lime sulphur generally prevents plant disease by allowing sulphur to penetrate leaf tissues and kill germinated spores.

When to Use:

  • Use Lime Sulphur during dormancy of grapes, pome, stone fruit and roses.

Directions and How to Use:

  • See label on pack for full directions.

  • Shake the container well before use.

  • Do not mix with acidic water.

  • Use the spray mixture on the same day as it is mixed with water.

Restraints and Cautions:

  • Do not apply during the growing period of apricots, raspberries, cucurbits, peaches or other sulphur-sensitive plants.

  • Avoid using it when freezing weather is predicted.

  • Spray in the cool of the day.

  • Best used alone.

  • Can be mixed with winter oils.

  • Do not apply within 2 weeks of an oil spray.
